The ´Sketch and Paint' sign

Arrive Sunday 4-6.0pm at Malaga airport. We will be waiting with the ´Sketch & Paint ´ sign - so you can´t miss us!! You will also have the mobile phone no of the person meeting you!

If the time and day (Sunday) are not convenient - let us know - we can arrange a different day and pick up time.

If you also want to extend your stay - no problem - we have students who come for 1 week - 2 weeks- 3 weeks and any time period. Or if you want to come for a period less than 7 days - we can do that too! WE ARE OPEN EVERY DAY OF THE YEAR!

We take you to your Hotel and let you settle in to your ensuite room. Time for a drink at the bar or a swim. Or a couple of hours just staring at the fantastic view and unwinding before Dinner

MONDAY

MORNING: We pick you up from your hotel and take you to our wonderful Studio.

Introduction to your Artist and Alex and everyone else!. You tell us what YOU want from this Painting Holiday

We create a working drawing in charcoal or soft pencil.

A wonderful session to ease you gently into Spain and creating your masterpieces!!

(If you want to paint straight away in oils or watercolour - then you can do that too!) This Holiday is all about YOU! So you can set the pace and have choices!

LUNCH IN THE STUDIO - with wine

AFTERNOON: In the Studio Learning complex composition and creating a painting from our working drawings - in oils, watercolour or acrylics.

You can do some really exciting painting in the Studio - turning your drawings into something more 'painterly' - or abstract or interpretive. Both Cat and Caroline are very successful painters and can inspire you to great things!!

P.S If you find you have arrived without toothpaste, or something essential - don't worry - we will always help with trips to the shops etc! Alex (the Studio Director) is the loveliest, friendliest person you can find. Everyone says so!!

TUESDAY

MORNING: On location in JUANAR - learning light and shade.

This is the most wonderful location - there is something ´magical´ here - we can hardly tear our students away from here.

We paint on oils or watercolour. Everyone has their own professional easel, chair, brushes, oils, canvas or watercolour paints and paper.

P.S. The drive up there is sensational too! So take your cameras!

AFTERNOON: In the Studio finishing off our paintings. Or starting new ones!

WEDNESDAY

MORNING: On location learning how to paint water - in oils or watercolour.

OR we go to the Castle and paint an aerial view of the beautiful white village. Instruction on how to turn landscapes into exciting 'interpretive' paintings or abstracts.

LUNCH - with wine

AFTERNOON: In the Studio painting. This is another chance to indulge in the great paints - choose a canvas or large piece of watercolour paper and really PAINT!!

THURSDAY

MORNING: On location in OJEN - learning perspective.

LUNCH - with wine

AFTERNOON: In the Studio painting. Learning whatever you want to learn. Personal attention is given at all times - helping you to develop whatever you want to..

Or back to the hotel - your choice! Some students are so unwound now that they enjoy an afternoon of rest!!

Perhaps sketching the great scenes at the hotel. We will give you sketching materials!

FRIDAY

STUDIO DAY - WHOOPEEE

Finishing off pictures in the studio. Picking up any tuition hand outs you require.

Plus critiques of your paintings!! Let's assess what you have learnt and gained from this painting holiday.

Any other instruction you may need. Perhaps you would like a quick demonstration of 'abstract expressionism' or some help with portraits?* (Subject to artist)
